Cadets are required to wear their uniform on designated uniform days each week as proscribed by the NJROTC Regulations. Uniforms are provided to the Cadets to maintain and wear throughout the school year and for specific NJROTC functions and activities.
Uniforms are worn every Wednesday during the Cadet's NJROTC class period or can be worn throughout the school day.
Male Cadets must have haircuts so that their hair does not touch their ears, does not exceed 3/4 inches on the side, and does not exceed 4 inches on top.
Female Cadets must wear their hair above the bottom of their collar, if in a bun, it may not interfere with the proper worn of their uniform cap. Female Cadets are expected to prepare their hair prior to school and maintain it throughout the school day.
Complete specific regulations can be found in the Cadet Field Manual (2024).
Prior to withdrawing from NJROTC, Cadets are required to return their uniforms in a serviceable condition to the Naval Science Instructors. Before the school will release transcripts for transferring to new schools, uniforms must be returned. Additionally, diplomas will be withheld from graduating seniors who fail to return uniforms. Replacement of the uniform costs approximately $500 and will be charged to the Parent or Guardian if the uniform is not returned in a serviceable condition.
